1.) Division Manager – Public Sector Operations, Policy and Governance

Location: Cote d’Ivoire

Selection Criteria
Theses include desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A minimum of Master’s Degree in Law, and admission to the Bar of one of the African Development Bank member countries; or a Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Bar of one of the African Development Bank member countries.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in similar jobs, preferably in a Multilateral Development Bank.
  • Combined specialization and expertise in the knowledge of the administrative setup, organization and texts of the Bank.

6.) Principal Anti-Corruption Governance Officer

7.) Chief Natural Resources Officer

  • Hold at least a Master’s Degree in Economics, International Development, Law or Public Policy. Specialisation in natural resource management is highly desirable. A relevant doctorate degree is an advantage.
  • Have a minimum of (7) seven years relevant experience with a specific focus in any of the following areas: integrated natural resource management, natural resource conservation, biodiversity, natural capital and ecosystem services management, environmental management, climate change, green growth.

9.) Senior Environmental & Social Safeguards & Compliance Officer

The Position

  • The Senior Environmental & Social Safeguards and Compliance Officer works under the overall direction and the supervision of the Director of the Department of Environmental and Social Safeguards and Compliance (SNSC).

Competencies (Skills, Experience and Knowledge)

  • Have at least a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences / Management (Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Geography, Biology, Ecotoxicology, Agricultural Sciences, etc.) and an additional training in environmental assessment.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in Environmental and Social Assessment (ESA), namely in preparing and implementing the ESA instruments (SESA, ESIA, ESMF, ESMS, RAP, ES Audit, Hazard and Risk Assessment, lifecycle analysis, emergency response plans, etc.).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and practice of the environmental and social safeguards policies/standards, procedures, and practices of comparator Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) supporting the Regional Member Countries.

10.) Planning and Administrative Officer

The Position
The Planning and Administrative Officer will:

  • Act as Budget focal person in SNFI department in charge of (i) coordinating the preparation the department’s and Divisions’ administrative budget based on the annual work programs agreed upon and (ii) monitoring the use of resources and the cost centres according to the Bank’s rules and regulations;
  • Liaise regularly with the Operations Complexes on a regular basis to ensure availability of budget to finance effective participation of fiduciary teams in the projects cycle;

Competencies (Skills, Experience and Knowledge)

  • Have a minimum of four (4) years relevant experience in the fields of expertise concerned.
  • Good knowledge of the international development institutions’ budget management policies, guidelines, procedures, and strong ability to interpret institutional related policies, guidelines and procedures.

The Position

The Position

  • The Principal Country Programme Officer (CPO) will work closely with the Director General, Deputy Director General and Country Manager, to support programme implementation and monitoring in designated countries and responsibilities. The CPO provides facilitation to review, examine and evaluate the organization’s objectives, structure, procedures, policies and management systems.
