Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Security Assistant

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Criminology, Peace & Security Studies, Political Sciences or related subject.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the field of community engagement, risk management, safety, and security management in International or Local NGO context.
  • Professional Certification in security studies.
  • Be a Nigerian National.
  • Ability to plan and organize work and write clear and concise reports and communicate effectively (both in writing and verbally).
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Stable, moral, reliable, and robust character and a good team-player.
  • Excellent communication skills, calm, with a good sense of humor.
  • Proven commitment to accountability practices.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Emails, Skype, Web esearches).
  • Demonstrable training and capacity building experience.
  • Fluency in oral and written English and Hausa (Kanuri Speaking).

2. Project Officer – Nutrition

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. Degree in Nutrition / Public Health / BSc or equivalent
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in implementation of nutrition programs, including CMAM especially SFP and/or IYCF preferably in an International or Local NGO.
  • Experience in conducting nutrition assessments and an understanding of nutritional surveillance and information systems

3. Finance Officer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity the relevant public donors’ regulations a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and experience with Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of financial reporting software a plus.

4. Awards Management Officer (Grants Manager)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field plus a qualification in accounting (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • At least 8 years’ experience in financial management for large, complex projects, of which at least four years were working in the field of international development;
  • Extensive financial and grant management experience working with non-governmental organization sub-recipients and other sub-grantees
  • Familiarity with German Government (KFW, BMZ, GFFO) financial regulations, policies and practices; OR experience working at a senior level on a DFID/EU/ECHO-funded grant;
  • Sound Knowledge of accounting package or enterprise financial management and reporting software;
  • Flexibility to work both in a team and independently;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English; and
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally, as required.
