Scholarship Award:

  • Please be inform that there are two types of Scholarships under the Confucius Institute Scholarship Program:
  • Full Scholarship:
    • Full Tuition fee.
    • Living Expenses.
      • One year bachelor’s students 2,500 CNY/year.
      • MTCSOL – 3,000 CNY/year.
      • PhDTCSOL – 3,500 CNY/year.
    • Accommodations (on-campus or off-campus).
    • Medical Insurance.
  • Partial Scholarship:
    • Full tuition fee.
    • Accommodations (on-campus or off-campus).
    • Medical Insurance.

Eligibility:

  • Non-Chinese Citizen.
  • Good Physical and Mental Health.
  • Continue study with a higher degree in the field of Chinese language.
  • Must be joining the University in July 2019.
  • Ages of 16-35 on September 1st, 2019.
  • Applicants who are Chinese language teachers must be less than 45 years old, while Bachelor’s students must be of age below 25.
  • Ph.D.’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (PhDTCSOL):
    • Masters in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Language Study, and other relevant educational majors.
    • Minimum HSK test score (Level 6) of 200 and HSKK test score (Intermediate level) of 60 or higher.
  • Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL):
    • Bachelors degree holder.
    • Minimum HSK test score (Level 5) of 210 and HSKK test score (Intermediate level) of 60 or higher.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (BTCSOL):
    • High School Diploma Holder.
    • Minimum HSK test score of Level 3 210 to 270 or Level 4 180 and HSKK test score (Intermediate level) of 60 or higher.
  • One year Program:
    • Minimum HSK test score (Level 4) of 210 and HSKK test score (Intermediate level) of 60 or higher.
  • Four Week Study Program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages
    • HSK Score is required.
