Holst scholarship was established in memory of former Foreign Minister Johan Jørgen Holst and 10 000 dollars a year. The scholarship is awarded to one Norwegian student for up to three years of studies in political science at Columbia College in New York.
Johan Jørgen Holst Memorial Fund provides support to a Norwegian student taking bachelor’s degree in political science at Columbia College, which is part of Columbia University in New York. This is the same degree as Holst even got in 1960.

- The grant is limited to studies in political science (political science) at Columbia.
- Searching need not be a student at a BA in Political Science in Norway.
- Relevant subjects include social sciences and humanities, economics and languages.
