The fellowships are scientist specific and not institution specific, very selective and have close academic monitoring.

Eligibility:
- The Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology (DST) is offering INSPIRE Scholarship, 2018 for Indian nationals to puruse master’s and bachelor’s program in India.
- The scholarships are offered in the field of Natural & Basic sciences.
- The candidates applying for INSPIRE Scholarship, 2018 should be in the top1% in 12th standard.
- The applicants should be pursuing B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. in Natural and Basic sciences.
- The candidates should have obtained JEE-Advance top 10,000 ranks, JEE-Main (top 10,000 ranks) plus those clearing NEET (top 10,000 ranks).
- The applicants should choose to study Natural and Basic sciences in any university or institute leading to postgraduate or graduate degree.
- The candidates applying for INSPIRE Scholarship, 2018 admitted to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholars and Science Olympiad Medalists, National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences (DAE-CBS) at the University of Mumbai or happen to be Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) and choosing to pursue B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in the fields of Natural & Basic sciences are eligible for SHE scholarship.
