We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Finance Intern

Location: Yobe

Salary: N100,000 monthly.

Deadline: 26th January, 2022.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Degree / HND in Accounting
  • Partial (Level two and above) or full ACCA is an added advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of financial management and accounting.
  • Two years experience in Finance and Accounting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills including attention to detail are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience and skill with financial reports preparation and presentation and proven ability to translate technical financial data into informative reports.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel and accounting software experience.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Willing to travel rotate to any Mercy Corps Field Offices and Head office whenever the need arises.
  • Knowledge of Hausa is required.

Success Factors

  • An ability to support programmatic objectives with timely and meaningful financial information is essential. A demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and process information in support of changing program activities is necessary.
  • An impeccable professional standard of finance and procurement ethics, as well as the willingness and ability to enforce compliance with Mercy Corps and donor policies and procedures, is essential.

Working Conditions

  • The intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week
  • The intern will be paid a monthly allowance of N100,000
  • The intern will be entitled to full health insurance.

3.) Ethics and Assurance Manager

Location: Abuja

Deadline: 24th January, 2022.

Knowledge and Experience

  • University Degree (B.Sc.) in Law, Finance, Accounting or a related business field is required; and an advanced degree is a plus;
  • 5 years+ related work experience with a not-for-profit organization implementing international programs or other reputable private sector entity;
  • Strong background in compliance, systems and internal controls;
  • Relevant experience in fraud investigation or auditing. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) designations are strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of a wide range of ethics violations, including fraud, corruption and human trafficking in humanitarian and/or development settings; Understanding of best practices in ethics management and accountability within INGOs, including best practices for investigations of ethical violations;
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully working with administrative and program staff at all organizational levels;
  • Solid organizational and research skills with a broad understanding of various program sectors and activities;
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and operational data analysis;
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel;
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English.
