The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA) is a contemporary art museum with the main museum in Gwacheon and three branches each in Deoksugung, Seoul and Cheongju. The museum was first established in 1969 as the only national art museum in the country accommodating modern and contemporary art of Korea and international art of different time periods.

Scholarship Award:

  • Please be inform that the successful applicants of National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Arts – MMCA International Research Fellowships in Korea, 2019 will receive a stipend of900,000 Korean Won per year to cover food, transportation, taxes, public utilities, entrance fees, etc.

Eligibility:

  • The candidates in related fields of contemporary art are eligible for MMCA International Research Fellowship, 2019.
  • The fellowship is to the candidates from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Centra, and South America
  • The age of the applicants must be between 25 and 45.
  • Language proficiency (English) is taken into consideration.
  • Candidates with interests in cultural exchange are encouraged to apply for MMCA International Research Fellowship, 2019.

  • A minimum of one recommendation letter.
  • CV.
  • Copy of degree certificates.
