Aberystwyth University (Welsh: Prifysgol Aberystwyth) is a public research university located in Aberystwyth, Wales. Aberystwyth was a founding Member Institution of the former federal University of Wales. The University has almost 8,000 students studying across its six academic Institutes.

Founded in 1872 as University College Wales, Aberystwyth, it became a founder member of the University of Wales in 1894 and changed its name to the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. Eligibility:

• The Rashid Domingo Student Bursary is offered to applicants for any undergraduate course in the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS) or the Department of Physics.
• The candidates applying for the Rashid Domingo Student Bursary, 2019 should have attended secondary school/college in Wales for at least 3 years.
• The applicants should apply to Aberystwyth University via UCAS by 15th January 2019.
• The candidates are expected to have an eligible course at Aberystwyth University as their Firm choice in order to be considered for the scholarship.
• The applicants must not have been a degree student previously at any higher education institution.
• The candidates are required to demonstrate their eligibility for the Rashid Domingo Student Bursary by completing an application form.
