Return Cider clothing and get a refund – It’s common knowledge that not everything you see online is as good as it looks, especially clothing items. In the good old days, if you wanted to buy clothes, you had to go all the way to a store to get whatever you wanted. Things are different now because from the comfort of your home you could browse through hundreds and thousands of clothing items and pick out what you want. The old school method may be time consuming and stressful, but it at least reduces the amount of fake products that are bought online. For clothes, you could check individually if it was the right color, texture or size, but with online shopping, seeing is believing. You will not know how good the item you ordered is until you have seen and tested it yourself.
For online shops like Cider, that seems very much the case. A lot of customers have complained of ill-fitted and poor quality clothes. The clothes may look stunning on the models, but doesn’t look as good on the buyer, or even worse, the quality is wack. For scenarios like this, most customers will want to return the clothes and get their money back, but most times it’s easier said than done. Returning an item back to Cider is not only time consuming and frustrating, but sometimes you’ll have to pay extra. Many times, customers are stuck clothes that they can’t wear and that will only end up taking up space and gathering dusts in their wardrobe.
If you’ve bought something from Cider and you want to return it, then keep on reading to get information on how to do so.
The item to be returned must be unworn and in the original condition. The item has to be in the original packaging, and all tags must still be attached. If the garment appears to have been worn, washed or altered in any way, it will not be eligible for a refund.
You may get a refund if the item returns to Cider’s warehouse unaltered in any way, if not then your money will not be refunded. The shipping cost however, will not be refunded.
On each order, there is a free 1st return. A shipping label will be created for you by Cider on the 1st return, but for subsequent returns, you will have to bear the costs yourself.
If your order was purchased through store credits offered from a previous return, then your order will not be eligible for a free return.
Is there a deadline in returns?
Yes there is. You have to return the item within 14 days of arrival. If not, the item will not be eligible for return.
How to return an item
This is where it gets tricky, you will have to follow each step carefully to be able to successfully return an item. A simple mistake might make it impossible for you to return a product and get a refund.
- Login to your account. Make sure to use the email address associated with your order.
- Find My Order on the site, and choose the order you want to send a request for return.
- Click on the return button to submit your request for return. Before you do so, make sure you have received the item and have clicked on Confirm Delivery.
- You have to give your reason for the return with your request.
How to ship your items back
If a shipping label is provided (it will be available for the 1st return), you should print out the label and drop off the package at an eligible shipping station. However, If a shipping label is not provided, you will have to choose a carrier and ship the package to Cider’s warehouse. Make sure to keep the return receipt from the carrier until your refund has been processed.
Before attempting to return any item, make sure you have updated your package tracking info on the app, and have requested to return the item. If not, Cider won’t be able to identify the item as yours. More details like eligible shipping stations, and warehouse addresses will be sent to your email after your return application has been sent.
After you have sent back the item, wait for it to arrive at their warehouse. It may take 5-25 days depending on how far the warehouse is from location.
Do not mail your return to the sender’s addresses written on your package, instead mail it to the address on the return instruction provided to you on the app, even if you are using your own shipping method.
There is a high processing volume in the warehouse, so an extra 3-5 days will be required to process your returned item(s). Once your item(s) has been processed, a refund will be initiated immediately.
- If your payment method was credit or debit card, your refund will be sent to the card-issuing bank. You should expect to have received payment within five business days of receipt of the returned item. Information on when the credit will be posted to your account, your bank should be contacted.
- If your payment method was PayPal or other online payment methods, the refund will be sent to PayPal or the online payment method you used within five business days of receipt of the returned item.
- If your payment method was Cider Gift Card, then any refund will be issued directly to your account.
Can you exchange a product for another?
The answer is no, you cannot exchange a product for another on Cider at the moment. If you have received something that you do not like or that doesn’t fit, you can’t exchange it for any other product on Cider. However, you can place a new order as your product is being returned. Your refund will be processed later and your money will be returned to you.
Products that cannot be returned
Any product marked as Final Sale cannot be returned. These include products that has been ordered through store credits. It is also not possible to return products in certain categories, including panties, swimwear, and accessories (excluding scarves).
Remember, Cider will not be responsible for any failed delivery on account of customer’s negligence. If you input wrong information on your address and your delivery is misplaced due to that, then Cider will not be responsible. In cases like this, you cannot file for a refund.
