1.) Director of Program Development and Quality (DPDQ)

Location: Abuja

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in relevant Social Science, Human Rights, Development Studies, NGO Management or equivalent fields
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive senior management and/or development experience in a corporate or an NGO environment, including experience directing and implementing programs for children
  • Experience in one of Save the Children’s thematic sectors: education, child protection, child rights governance, health and nutrition, child poverty, emergencies, social protection, climate resilience.
  • Knowledge of New Business Development, members and donors and their environments.
  • Credibility to lobby, influence and represent Save the Children at all levels
  • Experience working with high level government agencies and academics on issues related to children
  • Strong skills and proven experience in new program development, project design, and donor proposal design with corporate, foundations and institutional donors
  • Strong skills and proven experience in leading strategic planning, change management and program management processes; also from the knowledge and learning perspective
  • Developing and managing monitoring, evaluation and learning systems
  • Excellent listening, inter-personal, communication and networking skills; and an ability to work with diversified populations
  • Skills such as training, capacity building, coaching, mentorship, problem solving, and analytical and an understanding of project cycle management and coordination

2.) Compliance Specialist (Incident Response)

Location: Kano

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, International Relations, Criminal Justice or related field.
  • Fraud management related certification (e.g. CFE) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years spent working at NGO
  • Experience in the non-profit, NGO sectors or grant-supported organizations, regional and international organizations, or the inspector general function within a large government organization a plus
  • Experience conducting fraud, collusion, corruption, vendor and supplier collusion, safeguarding and other types of investigations in challenging environments
  • Experience working with investigation teams in remote locations and insecure environments
  • Experience examining forensic, financial and electronic evidence
  • Extensive experience conducting interviews of witnesses and subjects in multicultural environment
  • Experience in fraud awareness and case investigation management
  • Computer fluency; highly competent using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Administrative & General Skills (Essential):
He/she is expected to have the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business Administration, International Relations or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6 years of experience in household economic strengthening/livelihoods programming,
  • Practical experience in training design and implementation.
  • Ability to manage projects, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities.
  • Good technical knowledge of policy and practice in the field of livelihoods, crop and livestock production/rural livelihood programming as well as other cross cutting issues.
  • Solid knowledge of international and national social protection, household economic strengthening, and microenterprise and market development instruments and frameworks.
  • Experience in leveraging private sector partnerships and resources for creation of business opportunities, business mentorship and skills training, and market access, strategies
