1. Voice of Democracy Scholarship Competition
The voice of democracy scholarship is open to all students from grade 9 to grade 12. This scholarship program requires applicants to write and record an audio essay on the “Annual patriotic theme”. The annual patriotic theme for 2021-2022 is “America: Where Do We Go From Here?” The winner of the scholarship competition will go home with a $30,000 scholarship, while runners-up will receive other awards. Also, additional, smaller awards amounting to a sum of $2 million will be given out annually.

2. The American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest
The American Legion National high school oratorical contest is similar to the voice of democracy competition. In this scholarship program, Applicants will be required to write and perform an eight to ten-minute oration on some aspect of the United States constitution. Applicants will also be required to give a 3-5 minutes speech on the assigned topic. First place wins a $25,000 scholarship, second place wins a $22,500 scholarship, and third place wins a $20,000 scholarship. State winners will also win smaller awards.

3. The Fountainhead Essay Contest
Applicants for the Fountainhead Essay contest are required to write an essay on one of the three topics related to “The Fountainhead for school”. Winners will go home with the grand prize of $5,000. Runners-up will receive different awards too.

4. Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship

This scholarship is meant for students serving in their school’s student government and wishes to take on government courses in college. Applicants will be judged based on their leadership abilities, logical thought, academics, speech, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. This scholarship program has a total of 108 awards, and the winners will receive $10,000 each, as well as a trip to a conference in Washington, D.C.

7. Carson Scholars Program
Applicants for the Carson scholars program must demonstrate academic excellence and strong community involvement. The minimum required GPA is 3.75/4.00.
